We created a two double bedroom both with ensuite bathrooms, a separate guest toilet and an open plan kitchen / dining area and the lounge. We installed glass bi-folding doors allowing the lounge to flow effortlessly into the terrace area. It always had a gentle, lovely sea breeze that would flow through the entire apartment.
The shape of the apartment was more rectangular so we had to work with this. There were sea views from the terrace and the master bedroom so we wanted to make sure this was incorporated in the design process. The kitchen was set back in the apartment so the sea views were visible whilst cooking.
We concentrated on using up the most amount of space as possible whilst creating the maximum amount of storage. The apartment was 79m2 and we designed for four different entertaining spaces including the terrace.
We wanted to use the island in the kitchen as a breakfast bar therefore allowing space for a 4-persons dining table.
We chose materials that would reflect the beach vibes, with the colour palette being pale and simple yet adding dashes of blues and golds. As we didn’t have much natural light in the back sections, we used mirrors as a way to bring in and disperse the natural light around the apartment. We also used different lighting techniques including LED strip to brighten up the darker areas but also keeping the mood comfortable and relaxing.
